Kamishibai Weekend: The Art of Storytelling, 10:00am

Japan has a rich storytelling legacy that has entertained and shared important lessons to generations of Japanese people. Join us at CMOM for a weekend full of activities that explore different forms of storytelling such as puppet performance, woodblock print making and traditional Kamishibai story telling.    

Bunraku Puppets, 10:00am

All ages

Design your own mechanical puppet and work together like traditional Bunraku puppet performers to create your own story!.

Getting Creative with Art: Winter Wonderland Sculpture, 10:00am

4 & younger

Sculpt your own winter wonderland ornament!

Sing, move your body and use your listening ears to hear special stories.
 

Japanese Woodblock Printing with Jennifer Mack, 2:00pm

5 & older
Create your own print and learn about Japanese woodblock printing with master printer Jennifer Mack. Jennifer was recently featured at the International Mokuhanga Conference in Tokyo.
