You're So Big, You're One
Crawl, wiggle, sing and giggle together in our specially designed infant areas. Listen to lullabies from around the world, play a unique peek-a-boo mirror game, and invite your friends to a game of baby basketball.

Birthday Party Reservations

For a free party consultation, call Jason at (212) 721-1223, extension 219 or contact him via email. You must make an appointment to meet with Jason or to see the available party spaces. Birthday parties are scheduled throughout the week, please see Party Time Slots below for details. Please schedule your party early as bookings fill up quickly.

• Reservations require a deposit of $250
• Each additional child after the 12th child is $18
• Additional Party leaders are required on the 15th child
• Additional Party leaders are $85 each
• The maximum number, as stated above on each individual party, is strictly enforced for safety reasons.
• Prices are subject to change without notice.
• Kosher cake and pizza are available at no additional cost.
• Cancellation Policy:  Once you have confirmed the date with a $250 deposit, your party is booked. One hundred dollars ($100) will be deducted from your deposit for any cancellation after this point. Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations within a month of the booked party.
• Change Date Policy:  Once you have confirmed the date with a $250 deposit, your party is booked.  One hundred dollars ($100) will be deducted from your deposit if you change your party date.  Deposits are non-refundable for a change of date within a month of the booked party.  A new date will require an additional $250 deposit.    
• Snow Storm Cancellation Policy: If, due to a snow storm on or around the date of your reserved party, you feel the need to cancel your party, CMOM reserves the right to withhold any deposit if CMOM is officially open for admission on the day of the scheduled party. In the event CMOM is officially closed, we will return your deposit or reschedule your party for a later date.
• Parties offered at 5-6:30pm have a maximum of 30 children. Parties offered at 11am-12:30pm and 1:30-3pm have a maximum of 20 children

Top Ten Questions about CMOM Birthday Parties

Question 1:
At what age are children counted as part of the party package?
Answer:
Any child one or over is counted.

Question 2:
At what age are children no longer counted in the party package and counted as an adult guest? 
Answer:
Any child nine years or older is not counted in the party package.  However, if you would like to include the child in the party festivities, we would set up a chair for him/her at the kid’s table.  If this is done, he/she would be counted within the party package.

Question 3:
What are the refreshment options for the adults, as your information reads that the food and supplies are only for the children? 
Answer:
There are only two things a family needs to think about for the adults (yes, only two things!):  adult food and adult drinks.

Option 1:  A parent may order extra pizzas through the Birthday Manager for $12.00 a pie … or have it catered … or you may bring it on your own.  (Heating devices such as heating fuels, hotplates, etc. are not permitted.)

Option 2:  Parents usually bring (or have delivered) all the adult drinks such as water and sodas

Question 4:
Is alcohol permitted at the party?
Answer:
Wine and champagne are the only alcoholic beverages permitted.  (We discourage adults from serving any hot drinks that may cause burns if spilled.)

Question 5:
If I choose to serve the permitted alcohol, how is that handled?
Answer:
Parents will bring (or have delivered) any alcohol.

Question 6:
From where do you order the cake?
Answer:
Cupcake Café

Question 7:
Will the room be decorated?
Answer: 
Yes CMOM decorates the room fully with stuffed animals, books, Happy Birthday signs/decorations and a road map (to name just a few).

Question 8:
Are balloons an option?
Answer: 
Yes, balloons are an option, although CMOM does not include them within the birthday package.  We refer you to our balloon company, Cardeology.  You may call them directly to place your order.  We will pick the balloons up for you or they may deliver them to CMOM on the day of your party. 

Question 9:
Are invitations provided?
Answer: 
Yes, we will mail the invitations to you once you place a deposit … all you need to do is fill out the back and mail them to your guests.

Question 10:
I noticed that your website says we will receive an all day free pass the day of our scheduled party.  How does that work – especially if we book a 5pm party?
Answer: 
You and your guests are welcome to explore CMOM’s wonderful exhibits all day on the day of your party.  Your RSVP date is a week before your scheduled party.  On this date, you will fax or email a final count and written hard copy of the names of all children attending the party to the Birthday Manager so that we will know who to expect.    

For parties held early in the day, you and your guests are welcome to explore CMOM’s wonderful exhibits and participate in programs after your party until the museum’s 5pm closing time.  

If you book a party towards the end of the day, parents will usually indicate on the back of the invitations an arrival time of one hour prior to the party to explore CMOM.  It is highly recommended that you do not have your guests arrive earlier than one hour prior to your party, as the children would be tired by the time your party begins.
