CMOM’s Muslim Arts Festivals celebrate the rich traditions and cultural diversity of Muslim communities in New York City and around the world. These weekend festivals reflect the themes and goals of CMOM's larger Cultural Series, as well as the Museum’s initiative to nurture a new generation of creative and global citizens.

 
Preschool Readiness

Preschool Fun at CMOM! All ages

CMOM’s PlayWorks™ Lab hosts a variety of hands on programs, giving children the freedom to discover their own interests and develop their unique learning style. Highlighting a different topic every day, children have the opportunity to explore a variety of materials as well as subjects such as literacy, math, art, health and science.

Kamishibai is a traditional form of Japanese storytelling. Join CMOM educators for an interactive telling of traditional and modern, kawaii-inspired stories.

Mix paint on the PlayWorks™ Mural Wall.

Kawaii Bento Box, 2:45pm

All ages

Bento is a single-portion meal served in a box, which has become its own art form. Design your own kawaii bento box to hold your lunch!

Leaping Lily Pads, 3:15pm

4 & younger

Color your own Lilly Pad. Then, count to 20 as you pretend to be a frog as you leap from pad to pad!
