Welcome to the Children's Museum of Manhattan’s Early Childhood Program - Spring 2017
Your child belongs in a museum! The Children’s Museum Early Childhood Program will introduce your child to New York City’s cultural resources through our dynamic, award-winning exhibits; guest artists; and brain-boosting experiences in art, science, math, culture and more. Our classes are engaging and developmentally appropriate for children from twelve months to 4 years. All classes align with Pre-K learning standards.
As a place committed to joyful inspiration and discovery, the Children’s Museum offers an enticing entry point to lifelong learning. We believe that children develop and learn best in nurturing creative environments that support play, curiosity and discovery. As a children’s museum, our five floors of innovative, hands-on exhibits and learning spaces are designed to support the development of young minds.
Science Explorers Ages 3 – 4 years
This drop-off class introduces curious children to the world’s natural wonders. Each week focuses on an exciting new science theme: biology, entomology, animals and their habitats, and more! Children will learn through hands-on exploration with interactive storytelling, art projects, science experiments, live specimen. These classes help children make science investigation and art exploration part of everyday learning by exciting them about the processes behind creativity! Each class also includes a daily “field trip” to one of the Museum’s fascinating exhibits.
