Parent Workshops

Have CMOM staff meet with your PTA, parent coordinators, or interested parents to explore ways to take creative learning home. All workshops are hands-on and can be scheduled at CMOM or at your site. Come away with ideas about resources throughout the city and how to take better advantage of those in your neighborhood. Alternative workshops are available and can be switched with those recommended below.

Early Learning

Little learners have big ideas.Learn how to build a supportive environment as they stretch their imaginations.

Art at Home

Art can sometimes seem as if it is something found only in a museum but art is about having a creative eye for details.

Workshop: Experiment with materials that can be found in the home including biodegradable packing materials, disposable take out packages and more to inspire creative use of everyday objects.

Over one thousand years ago, Muslim physicist and mathematician Alhazen invented the camera obscura – a tool that led to the modern day camera. Experience the wonders of a camera obscura and learn how you can make your own using household materials.
