Collage Collaborations: Tai Hwa Goh

Little makers and their grownups are invited to work with New York City’s up and coming professional artists! Collage Collaborations is an exhibition and family program series that introduces artists who use collage. In this technique, artists cut, tear and glue different materials to create a whole new image. Each Collage Collaboration introduces a different artist. Explore their unique artistic styles and learn about their processes as you help them create an artwork to go on display at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan.

Artist Tai Hwa Goh creates collaged sculptures and wall installations that use handmade paper and printmaking techniques. Together with Tai you will collage a variety of colored tissue and printed papers to help her create a 3D wall installation.

Artist Alexandria Smith creates monumental collage installations that use her own visual language and symbols. To create her symbols, Smith uses a variety of printed papers. Together with Alexandria you will use textured and patterned papers to create a shared imaginary world.
