Little makers and their grownups are invited to work with New York City’s up and coming professional artists! Collage Collaborations is an exhibition and family program series that introduces artists who use collage. In this technique artist cut, tear and glue different materials to create a whole new image. Each Collage Collaboration introduces a different artist. Explore their unique artistic styles and learn about their process as you help them create an artwork to go on display at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan.

Artist Juan Hinojosa uses recycled materials and found images in his colorful collages. Familiar characters and objects are transformed into elaborate images of color and texture. Together with Juan you will color in and cut out, shapes, superheroes, and other characters to help Juan create a collaborative mural.
