All the Way to K: Building Strong Foundations for Learning

Talking with your child every day builds the language and literacy skills they need for success in school and beyond. All the Way to K provides parents, caregivers, and educators with research-backed resources, activities, and strategies to help young children (birth to age 5) develop essential language skills through conversation, storytelling, music, and play.

Developed in partnership with the NYC Department of Education, NYC Administration for Children’s Services, and Johns Hopkins University Science of Learning Institute, this initiative is grounded in cutting-edge literacy research. Through simple, engaging activities, families can turn everyday moments into learning opportunities, laying the foundation for kindergarten readiness and a lifelong love of learning.

Explore free, downloadable posters and activity guides in English and Spanish to spark conversation and support your child’s early literacy journey.
