The Children’s Museum of Manhattan (CMOM) isn’t just a museum–it’s an interactive space designed to provide opportunities for exploration, learning, and, most importantly, play.

Located at The Tisch Building at 212 West 83rd Street, CMOM is open Tuesday-Sunday from 10am – 5pm. While purchasing tickets ahead of time is strongly recommended, CMOM is open to walk-ins for its exhibits, which may include animal exploration, interactive art exhibits, and a seasonal outdoor water exhibit. Click here for current exhibits.

If you’d like a more structured visit, CMOM also offers a variety of programs and classes, ranging from book readings and women’s history programs to art workshops and movement classes. After-school and summer programs are also an option for children ages 4 and up. For those who would like to participate from home, there are a variety of virtual classes, videos, and resources for parents accessible via their website.

Tickets are $16 for children and adults (though infants under 1 year of age get in for free), and $13 for seniors and those with disabilities. CMOM offers free entry to museum members, and discounted tickets through a variety of programs. Please note, the museum is wheelchair accessible in all areas except the lower level of the Dynamic H20 exhibit.

To round out your day of play, the museum is conveniently located near two parks–Riverside Park and Central Park. Visit CMOM.org to plan your visits, access virtual resources, and purchase tickets.
