Anansi to Zeus

Grades 1 – 5 

CMOM educators journey around the world with students, exploring myths and folktales from different countries and cultures. The Anansi to Zeus program sharpens students’ knowledge of history and builds literacy, all while nurturing a love of storytelling and the arts. Each lesson ties together a unique tale with a customized art project, so students deepen their perspective on the world while exploring elements like line, shape, color, form and texture.

Art Around the World

Grades 1 – 5

This is your captain speaking! Buckle up to travel the world while we discover the history, tradition, and lifestyles of people all around the world, from Ghana to Japan to Peru and beyond. Each lesson will enhance students’ perspectives and understanding of different cultures through hands on art-making and sensory exploration.

Artful Explorers

Grades K – 5

Cultivate insight and understanding of the world around you through experiencing new and unique art materials and integrated hands-on art activities. In each lesson, explorers go on artful adventures to learn new artmaking techniques.

Can art change the world? Can art smell? Can art trick us? Can art be? Yes, art can! Each week, curious artists ask the question “Can Art…?” to discover all the ways that art is hidden around us in our everyday lives.

Modern Masters

Grades K – 5

Explore diverse Modern artists and art forms by learning their influences, inspirations, and techniques to create your own masterpiece portfolio.

World Builders

Grades K – 5

What makes up a world? Students will explore all of the various elements that make up worlds, and build their own world full of landmarks, symbolism, architecture, culture, and more!

Bug Out!

Grades Pre-K – 2

Students will scurry, crawl, fly, and creep into the wonderful world of insects! Students become master entomologists as they study a variety of insects and discover why these creepy crawlies are crucial members of our ecosystem.

Beakers and Brushes

Grades 1 – 5

Students will investigate the works of artists who integrate their scientific background, infusing physics, math, and technology, into their art practice. In each lesson, students will create their own art pieces inspired by scientific explorations like nature observations, physics experiments, playing with electricity and light, and much more!
