Discounted Admissions
Looking for free or discounted museum admission in New York City?
We proudly offer free and reduced admission for families through programs like Museums for All, Cool Culture, local libraries, other academic and community partnerships. These programs help ensure that all children and their caregivers can enjoy hands-on learning, creativity, and play.
You do not need to reserve these offers in advance, simply visit us in person with a valid photo ID and your Cool Culture card, Museums for All card, or other qualifying membership card. We reserve a dedicated block of tickets for these programs and look forward to welcoming you and your family to explore and play with us!
Association of Children's Museums
If you have an ACM reciprocal logo on your membership card from another children’s museum, you will receive a 50% discounted admission for up to 6 individuals.
Blue Star Family
The Museum offers active-duty military and reservist personnel and their families up to 5 tickets for free admissions with proper identification. *This program operates from Armed Forces Day through Labor Day.
EBT/SNAP Card Holders
CMOM partners with Museums for All, which provides up to 4 tickets of free admission for families with an EBT/SNAP card.
Culture Pass
The Museum partners with Culture Pass patrons which provides up to 4 tickets for free admissions for families when you reserve through Culturepass.nyc
Cool Culture Family Pass Program
The Museum participates in the Cool Culture Family Pass Program which provides up to 5 tickets of free admission for families with a child currently enrolled in a participating early childhood center or elementary school (pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classrooms).
For a seamless visit, please follow the following guidelines:

- A valid photo ID is required to verify the Family Pass holder’s last name
- For groups of more than 5, admission fees apply to additional guests
- Nannies and caregivers may only use the Family Pass when the cardholder is present.
New York City Agencies
The Museum partners with many New York City agencies. They include the NYC Department of Education, the NYC Department of Homeless Services, the NYC Administration for Children’s Services, and the NYC Department of Correction. Show your employee ID card for free admission for the card holder only.
New York City's Museum Community
We offer free admission to our colleagues who work in New York City’s museums with employee ID and admission for up to 2 additional guests.
New York City Museum Council
We offer free admission for the passholder and 1 additional guest.
New York City's Civil Servants
Active NYPD and FDNY, with proof of employee ID, can redeem 5 tickets for free admissions, per household, in person at CMOM. Currently unavailable ahead of time online.
Public Libraries
If you live outside of the New York City area, your public library may be a member of CMOM. Ask at your library checkout desk. If they are, you will be able to visit the Museum for free.
Teachers
If you are a United Federation of Teachers union member, show your UFT union card or cultural pass for free admission for card holder.
