Easter Scavenger Hunt F.A.Q.

 

How does the scavenger hunt work?

  1. Come to the museum.
  2. Pick up a scavenger hunt sheet at admissions.
  3. Spot the egg sculptures hidden throughout the museum. Write down the animal you see with each egg on your scavenger hunt sheet.
  4. Return the completed form to the kiosk in the lobby to claim your prize. Each child will receive one prize for completing the hunt. Please, only one prize per child, per day.

Is the event free?

  • The event is included with your museum admission. Admission is $14 for adults and children. Seniors (over 65) are $11. Children under 12 months are free. Members are free.

When does the hunt occur?

  •  Our scavenger hunt occurs rain or shine at the following times:
    • Saturday, March 31: 10:00 am – 4:30 pm
    • Sunday, April 1: 10:00 am – 6:30 pm
    • Monday, April 2: 10:00 am – 4:30 pm*
      • *while supplies last

Where does the scavenger hunt happen?

  • The scavenger hunt takes place inside the museum, across all five floors of exhibits.

Does my child need to bring any supplies?

  • No. Each child will be given instructions uppon entrance and receive one prize egg after completing the scavenger hunt.

Do I need to sign up in advance?

  • There is no need to sign up in advance. Scavenger hunt forms can be redeemed all day long. You do not need to sign up to participate in the Easter egg scavenger hunt.
  • Sign-ups for workshops begin one hour before the workshop starts and is located at the admission desk.

Are there food prizes?

  • No, there are no food prizes in the eggs. In order to keep the museum clean and limit allergy exposure, there is no food allowed in the Museum. Our prize eggs contain small toys.

Can we bring our own treats?

  • Please leave candy and other treats at home. In order to keep the museum clean and limit allergy exposure, there is no food allowed in the Museum.

Is the event wheelchair accessible?

  •  Yes. The scavenger hunt takes place across all five floors of the museum. There is elevator access located on both sides of the museum to all five floors. The eggs will not be hidden in any crawling spaces.
