Celebrate Diwali, the Indian festival of Lights. Diwali is India’s biggest and most important holiday of the year. It coincides with the Hindu New Year and celebrates new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness. Join us and our friends from The Culture Tree for a day of festivities exploring Indian Arts and this special holiday.

Storytelling: Bhakti Mathur’s Amma, Tell Me About Diwali!
“Amme Tell Me” is a series of children’s books that introduces major Hindu festivals and figures. Enjoy the rhyming and vivid colors as Museum Educators share Bhakti Mathur book, Amma, Tell Me About Diwali!
