Juneteenth Musical Jamboree
Join us for a musical jam session to celebrate Juneteenth! Decorate your own paper instrument, add to the festivities by playing a song of celebration; All the while learning about the annual celebrations held in Galveston Island, TX honoring this National holiday of freedom.

Artist Workshop: Juneteenth Zines with Lillian Young*
Join us for an exciting day exploring Juneteenth with artist Lillian Young! Young’s series Black Elder Archive features a portrait of the “grandmother of Juneteenth”, Opal Lee. We’ll learn more about Lee through art, read-alouds and video, and then create our own zines with textured paper and markers.
