Exhibits to Explore
Outside In, Inside Art: Creative Place-Making
Grades 1 – 3
Through exploring the creative place-making approaches and experiences of artists in our Inside Art exhibit, students will look inward to find the artist within. Students can crawl through an accumulation of houses; peer upward into reflective, patterned tubes; twirl around in a view-distorting panorama; and discuss artworks from the inside out. Inspired by different expressive art forms, students will uncover the artist within.
City Sights & Sounds in PlayWorks™
Grades Pre-K – K
Students will learn how to use their five senses to observe and explore the sights, sounds, and spaces in the PlayWorks™ exhibit and in their own community. Through a hands-on workshop, students will create their own sensory scene!
Dora & Diego's Rainforest Adventure
Grades Pre-K – 2
Rescue a blue-morpho butterfly, guide sea turtles to the shore, and look for tree frogs following in the footsteps of Diego as he helps different animals. Students create a collage telescope to explore the great outdoors.
Superhero in Me - Superpowered Metropolis™
Grades Pre-K – 3
Check out New York City from a whole new angle! Students will explore the world of our Superhero Pigeons, Zip, Zap, and Zoom, and go on missions throughout the city. They will then turn inward to find the superhero within each one of them and craft themselves a whole new superhero identity.
Before Your Visit
