Read-aloud and Interactive Workshop: Brave New Ballet with author Robyn McGrath, Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, and The Joyce
Saturday, December 19 | 10:30 am – 11:15 am & 11:30 am – 12:15 pm | All ages
Brave New Ballet: The Story of Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo written by Robyn McGrath, illustrated by Alexander Mostov, tells the inspiring true story of an all-male ballet company that dared to dance, perform, and express themselves in their own unique way. With tutus, wigs, pirouettes, and plenty of humor, these dancers transformed the stage while celebrating individuality and inclusion. Join us for an exciting collaboration with the author, Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, and The Joyce for a read-aloud, dance and movement, and fun dress-up activities.
Be sure to catch Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo for their family matinee at The Joyce on Saturday, December 19, or at any point during their three-week run from December 15 – January 3!
