Autumn Workshop and Heritage Exploration with Relative Arts

Join Mvskoke cultural worker and educator Liana Shewey for stories and activities in honor of Indigenous Heritage Month. Our interactive storytime will invite you to celebrate the changing of the seasons with a read-aloud of Autumn: A Picture Book by Mvskoke author Alexander Posey and illustrations by Salish artist Paige Pettibon, and then you’ll collaborate on a creating a nature poem. Following the activity, you can explore instruments, photographs, and other cultural heritage objects from Shewey’s family.
