CMOM at Home brings fun and educational activities to you.

While our doors are temporarily closed, we have lots of resources to share with you to keep your kids engaged and learning while you are at home.

Aileen Hefferren appointed as Children's Museum of Manhattan Chief Executive Officer and Director.

Aileen Hefferren has been appointed as the Children’s Museum of Manhattan’s next Chief Executive Officer and Director. An ardent advocate for New York City’s youth and to closing the education gap across racial, cultural, and socioeconomic divides, Aileen currently serves as the Chief Executive of Prep for Prep, where for 25 years she has helped underserved students achieve personal, academic, and professional success.

Under Aileen’s directorship, the Children’s Museum will continue to expand our reach across the five boroughs and develop dynamic new programs for our audiences in person and digitally. Her first day at the Museum will be September 15, 2020. Please join us in welcoming Aileen to the CMOM community.

Support CMOM

When you become a Children’s Museum member or make a donation, you invest in the future. As a nonprofit, 501(c) (3) institution, our membership and admission fees don’t cover our operating expenses. We need your help! Your gift supports a valued community resource, lets under-resourced families enjoy a museum visit, and allows us to continue to create joyful environments and programs that promote fun and learning.
